A Very Unique Church

Grace Memorial was founded in 2000 as a totally unique endeavor. The vision was to build an interdenominational yet non-denominational church. The goal was to give people from various old mainline denominations a place to rediscover their Christ-centered, Bible-based, evangelical Christian roots. The plan was to develop a blended form of worship.

Out of these visions God came up with a plan beyond our wildest dreams. We quickly became known as the church with the walls of crosses as we each took up our cross to follow Christ. On our walls there is a crucifix, a cowboy cross, firefighter cross, a cross with the Star of David, and every other imaginable kind of cross as well.

God has molded a church that is open to all ethnic groups, races, colors, religious backgrounds, ages, political persuasions, economic classes, and physical or mental challenges. God has built a hospital for sinners not a resort for saints. God has built a church marked by the presence of forgiveness not the absence of sin.

God has wed people with no previous belief or forgotten belief to Christ at Grace. God took blending to mean more than music, but the blending of the best practices from a whole host of Christian traditions. God has grown a church that is a close family that reaches out in over a dozen ways.

In short, God has built an oasis that looks a lot like Heaven. That is why we feel God had a plan to build a very unique church.
